The narration throughout the whole film felt really cheesy. Especially in the beginning when it started with Mickey saying “every day I think about death”. Opening the film with Mickey slitting his wrists would have been more effective.
I laughed so hard when the father tells young Mickey that his brother has died and rather than try to explain anything or grieve with his son he fiendishly lights up a cigarette 🤣
Acting was pretty poor, but there were a lot of really gorgeous shots throughout the whole film. Especially towards the end at the beach and when Drake and Mickey are in the water.
Mickey was paralyzed for years and years and then can all of a sudden stand up and walk? Even if that was possible he would need extreme physical therapy to walk again… I know “it’s just a movie” but idk… it really bothered me.
