Notes

  • The narration throughout the whole film felt really cheesy. Especially in the beginning when it started with Mickey saying “every day I think about death”. Opening the film with Mickey slitting his wrists would have been more effective.

  • I laughed so hard when the father tells young Mickey that his brother has died and rather than try to explain anything or grieve with his son he fiendishly lights up a cigarette 🤣

  • Acting was pretty poor, but there were a lot of really gorgeous shots throughout the whole film. Especially towards the end at the beach and when Drake and Mickey are in the water.

  • Mickey was paralyzed for years and years and then can all of a sudden stand up and walk? Even if that was possible he would need extreme physical therapy to walk again… I know “it’s just a movie” but idk… it really bothered me.
